The Whole Nautilus Program
There is nothing more marvelous than to be able to fish and to make boating. We then have an incredible feeling of freedom and wellbeing. However, we must make sure of being able to do it in full safety. The members of my family and me are using the personal flotation devices of Nautilus, by Protexion, for several years already. In addition to all safety that they bring to us, they are comfortable and attractive. I recommend them to you for all the nautical activities and fishing.

As a member of Abreast In A Boat - our crew is located in the Deas Slough south of Vancouver - I cannot thank you enough for your fantastic lifevests. I am not a great swimmer and felt less than secure last year in the other vests that were provided by the False Creek Rowing Club. They were poorly fitting and awkward under the arms.

Since most of us have had lymph node removal, a PFD can be quite uncomfortable.Your vest provides a range of movement and a measure of security that I have not found in other jackets - and I had tried on several others that I contemplated buying for this year.

All in all you have made my adventure in Dragonboating a safe exciting experience. Thanks again for your Company's generosity.

Children's Vest
I am writing to express my gratitude to your company for producing such a fine product. Owing to this wonderful lifejacket and some wonderful people, my 2 year old son survived a terrifying boating accident.

My brother, my son, a friend and I went for an (intended) 15 minute ride in a canoe to enable my brother to take some lake view photo's. 5 minutes after setting off, we were near a small falls and rapids and the canoe went over!

My son was the only one wearing his life vest. Because I wasn't wearing one (very stupidly, we adults sat on ours) the only reason I was able to hold on to my baby was because he was wearing his. It literally saved his life!

Finally, someone saw us from the shoreline and came to our rescue just in time as we couldn't have held on much longer due to the undertow and heavy clothing dragging us down. Treading water was quickly becoming too exhausting. It was a horrific experience, one we shall never forget!

First thing next season, we will be buying some of your fine jackets for my entire family. I would have been much more use to my son if I had been wearing a jacket myself. I am now a total advocate of wearing jackets and I want to tell everyone how quickly these things happen. Naturally, as soon as the canoe went over, the other jackets went straight into the rapids. We had absolutely no chance of putting them on.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you from personal experience how valuable your product is.

Fishing Vest
I am writing this letter to tell you of my experience with one of your lifejackets. The fact that I can still write it is reason enough for me.

I work at a mine in northern Saskatchewan. The rec club on site supplies several fishing boats (16ft aluminum with 25HP motors) for club member use. One evening, I went fishing on Carswell Lake by myself. The boat I got had loose steering and the trim was out of adjustment. It really didn't seem that bad so I decided to use it and report the problems the next day. It was a fair night with only a little wind. This incident happened so fast I am not 100% certain of the mechanics involved. As near as I can tell, this is what happened.

I was traveling at full speed up the middle of the lake when I hit a larger than usual wave, which jarred the boat. I lost my hold on the steering handle and the boat pulled into a tight right hand turn. The front end of the boat bucked up. I got the steering control back and tried to straighten the boat out. In the process, the front end came down and the back end heaved up. I was thrown over the left side of the boat. I had on a pair of overalls, a parka, and one of (Protexion Products) life vests. I spent 45 minutes in cold water getting to shore and 12 very very cold hours sitting on shore waiting to be picked up. There is no question this letter would not have been written if I had not been wearing a life jacket.
